SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT "Double Degree In Business Communication" Bolsas Erasmus de Mobilidade
The programme proposed is a two-year Post-Graduate Course in MASTER in Business Communication (MBCOM) corresponding to 120 ECTS credits and suitable for graduates with Bachelor's degree, University diploma, Diploma of higher educational institution or additional studies approved by the Admission Committee. The program is developed and implemented within the framework of the Consortium made up of two partner Universities, LUMSA (Libera Università Maria Ss. Assunta), ISCEM (Instituto Superior de Comunicação Empresarial) and c. Each university will contribute with its specific knowledge area: LUMSA will make at disposal its expertise in Communication and Social Sciences, ISCEM will provide to share its knowledge in Marketing and Advertising area.
Our purpose is to create a Joint Post-Graduate Degree in Business Communication, systematizing partners’ knowledge in this area, with the aim to create an European Degree focused on themes of Communication and Management. Business Communication is nowadays one of the main organizational areas, and Europe needs young “knowledge workers” specialized on this issue. We propose a Joint Degree of two years; during this first year, students will learn the master issues of Communication, Management and Marketing, aiming to built an high theoretical framework in this area. The purpose of the MBCOM is to acquire an in-depth knowledge about the specialized field of "Business Communication" and to become familiar with communication management techniques and strategies required for successful planning, implementation and evaluation of strategic integrate communication plans, communication campaigns and management of internal and external organizational communication flows, marketing techniques and organizational strategies, business management and financing. Communication became a central expertise to manage in organizations, especially in an international framework as the world work became in the last ten years. In the global economy, and in the field of free exchange of goods and services trough different Countries, with different languages, culture and economic structure, the figure of the Communication Manager or the Communication Consultant is fundamental for the general developing of companies. The students will also perform these activities in cooperation with other students where many are European, thereby bringing the cross-cultural benefits into the actual workplace and also laying the foundation for future important networks and professional links.
